Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Dalton went 29 of 46 for 352 yards and two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and though four interceptions diminished his stat line one came on a tipped ball and another came on a Hail Mary at the end of the game.
It would be hard to find a more favorable upcoming schedule for a quarterback. Dalton gets the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4, followed by the Miami Dolphins (Week 5), Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 6), Kansas City Chiefs (Week 7) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 8). And even on the other side of a Week 9 bye, the New Orleans Saints are on the slate in Week 10.
Skepticism will trail Dalton until further notice, but he’s piloting an offense that is going well. He’s in line to be worth consideration as a low-end QB1 each week from here to at least Halloween, and he’s widely available.
