Tannehill went 17-for-23 for 289 yards and three touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, along with 26 rushing yards. Over the season’s first three games, he has seven passing touchdowns while completing 72.9 percent of his passes.
The most favorable matchup Tannehill has coming is in Week 4 against the New England Patriots. But the Cincinnati Bengals (Week 5), Chicago Bears (Week 6) and Detroit Lions (Week 7) have all shown vulnerability to the pass, and Tannehill is playing well right now.
Tannehill’s ownership rates may climb some when bye weeks are in full force, as fantasy owners look for a QB2 to fill a void. But in deeper leagues, now is a good time to consider stashing him.
