Dalton Schultz, TE, Dallas Cowboys

Schultz had four catches for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. The breakout that was lined up to be Blake Jarwin’s as Dallas’ No.1 tight end has become his after Jarwin’s torn ACL in Week 1, with 17 receptions on 24 targets over the last three games. In two of those three, he has topped 70 yards with a touchdown.

A bad Cowboys’ defense is set to assure Dak Prescott will have to throw a bunch, and he has clearly built a quick rapport with Schultz.

In the toughest matchup Schulz has seen as the starter thus far, Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, he still had 8.8 PPR fantasy points (four catches for 48 yards). The next few weeks bring some good-looking matchups (Week 5-New York Giants, Week 7-Washington, Week 8-Philadelphia Eagles), but at this point it hardly matters as Schultz is looking like a weekly starter.

This should be the last week Schultz easily qualifies for this waiver wire space. For anyone struggling to find a suitable tight end, the to this point fairly off-the-radar solution is conformed to be right here.
