Derek Carr, QB, Las Vegas Raiders

Carr threw his first interception of the season against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5, but that doesn’t take the shine off an otherwise fantastic performance (22-for-31, 347 yards, three touchdowns). He has thrown for more than 300 yards in back-to-back games, with multiple passing touchdown in four straight now.

Carr has a bye in Week 6, but that should not be a deterrent to adding him this week. Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should be a pass-heavy game script, followed by favorable matchups in Week 8-13 (Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, the Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets).

Even with that bye coming, Carr has to be owned far more than he is. He is shaping up to be a low-end QB1 through byes, and this week is the opportunity to sneak in and get him on a roster in 12-team leagues.
