Antonio Brown, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
We’re making a rare exception to our normal waiver wire ownership threshold here, but this is a rare case. Brown has signed a deal for the rest of the season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He’ll complete his eight-game suspension in Week 8, then he’s scheduled make his debut in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints.
Brown of course has not play a game in over a year, Week 2 with the New England Patriots and Tom Brady last year before another off-field issue surfaced. He is also 32 years old now, to go with that long layoff.
Brown had 100 or more catches in six straight seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2013-2018, with double-digit touchdowns in four of those campaigns.
The range of outcomes is very wide with Brown. But his resume and potential make it worth checking on his availability in your league, after the huge initial rush to add him. A roster spot that may be otherwise filled with a yawn-inducing player could be filled with Brown.
