Now, let’s get to the Week 14 NFL picks from your very own, Bahama Dom.
Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati Bengals (1:00pm ET)
This matchup is going to be very interesting to watch unfold as the Bengal’s season has been finished, while the Cowboys are still alive in the dreadful NFC East. A loss would all but end the Dallas season, and Mike McCarthy’s tenure could be a short lived one.
If Joe Mixon was returning this week I would probably be looking the other way in this matchup, aDallas is the worst defense in the league against the run. The return of Andy Dalton to play against his former team will be a nice story line, and I am looking for him to cook and keep the Cowboys season alive. He has 2 game winning drives this year and with how both of these teams stack up he could be in line for a third if it comes down to it.
Pick: Cowboys -3 (-110 at Bovada) | 2 units
Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders (4:25pm ET)
A familiar foe will head to the desert to face his former division rival in the Las Vegas Raiders. Philip Rivers has ben playing some good football of late while minimizing turnovers which have plagued him later on his career. The Raiders went to Indy a year ago and came away with a win. This is going to be a playoff game with huge implications for both teams.
The Colts have more wiggle room here but would be set up great in the race to 10 which I ultimately see as the minimum for the postseason. The Raiders were in the same 6-4 position a year ago and fizzled out at the end. They by all mean should not have won a week ago, but they did. I think the Raiders are going to be able to run the ball on the stout Colts Defense, and look for them to win outright.
Pick: Raiders +3 (-110 at William Hill) | 1 unit
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars (1:00pm ET)
The Jaguars have been in games of late. Take away the steelers game and they have lost 4 of their last 5 by no more than 4 points. Last week it took the Vikings overtime to come away with the win. Tennessee knows this and only won by 3 last time they faced off in week 2.
The Titans got whooped last week by the Browns and the scoreboard was not indicative of that game at all. It was 38-7 at the half and finished up 41-35 with the browns on cruise control the rest of the way. This week is a must win for them to keep pace on their division lead over the Colts and I see them doing what they do best, scoring points. Mike Glennon will do just enough on his end to have the over cash (potential pick 6).
Pick: Over 52 points (-110 at William Hill) | 1 unit
