NFC East
NFL games that end in a tie are so unsatisfying but on the plus side, both the Giants and Commanders maximized their fantasy output by playing as long as you can play in regulation without declaring a winner. Dallas looks dominant rushing the ball with Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott and defensively, they’re aggressive and hit you. Not to be forgotten is division lead Philadelphia, who never cease to look good. They understand their opponents weak spots and attack them. That was no different in Week 13.
Dallas Cowboys – For three quarters, everyone who owned a piece of the Cowboys, DST owners included, were biting their nails. Then, in the fourth quarter, they erupted for 33 unanswered points. Much of that was due to the defense making things happen like five turnovers. But big days for their two-headed monster in the backfield, Dak Prescott and Michael Gallup.
New York Giants – Saquon Barkley rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown but he wasn’t the best player on offense. Daniel Jones was 25-of-31 passes for 200 yards with one touchdown score. Jones did most of his damage running the ball, outrushing Barkley with 71 yards on 12 carries. Darius Slayton led the team with six catches for 90 yards but it was not Daniel Bellinger or Richie James who was second. It was Isaiah Hodgins with five receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown grab.
Philadelphia Eagles – It was always going to be a tough game running against the Titans defense from a yardage standpoint is concerned. But the Eagles roster is robust enough to account for that, which is why A.J. Brown (8/119/2) and DeVonta Smith (5/102/1) took over the game. But putting up points that quickly and easily, the Titans could not counter with the time-consuming run game. Jalen Hurts once again showed that the Eagles have an answer for every defense they’ve faced.
Washington Commanders – There wasn’t enough magic left in Taylor Heinicke’s bag. He was largely ineffective but he made some big plays to Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson to force overtime. Brian Robinson rushed for 96 yards making him the top rusher after Sunday afternoon. He did not get into the end zone though.
